Big 10 Media Day
August 2, 2007
The Big 10 media day for all teams was this week. ESPNews has been running clips of a few of the coaches in the conference (including Tressel). Tressel was fairly political when answering questions from the media. But he seemed to stress "learning from past experiences" during the interview. Also, there are quite a few Buckeyes named to the pre-season all Big 10 team. For the complete list go to www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com .
Kirk Barton is one of the players featured in a new commercial promoting the Big 10. You can also watch that video at the above link.
The season is just about 1 month away. Man, the summer seems soooo long without college football!

Preseason mags are out!
June 15, 2007
Athlon's, Lindy's, and Phil Steele's preseason magazines are out. If you have never purchased one of these mags, I would strongly suggest it. Most of these publications are much more thorough than Sportscenter or your local news programs. They include a complete break-down of every D-1A team in the country as well as predictions and rankings. My favorite is Athlon, which puts out a regional and national magazine every year. If you're a true fan, you need to get one of these annuals!

More new stuff on the site...
May 9, 2007
If you haven't checked out my two newest pages: History of OSU Football or History of the Big 10, please do so! Have you ever wondered how Ohio State got their team colors? Who wrote Carmen Ohio? What is OSU's connection with Hang On Sloopy? All these questions and many more are answered on these pages!
As I mentioned in my previous post, I now have the new 2007 recruits list, and the 2008 commit list (07-08 Recruits). There is a link for each player where you can watch a short video and read a bio. Thats about it today, but please check back through the summer, I will be scouting every team we play this year and I'll have a breakdown of each opponent. Thanks again!

The Draft isn't everything
May 1, 2007
(Sorry I haven't made a new post in a while!)
It's hard to concentrate on anything else in sports right now with the draft just unfolding and many Buckeyes taking the next step. Congratulations to all the former Bucks who were selected in the draft this year! With many of the starters drafted by pro teams this year it just proves that we had a lot of talent on that team last year. It almost sad to watch a class of seniors through 4 years of great memories suddenly leaving due to graduation or the draft. But thats college football, and thats why its the best sport in the world. College football is the last time you see players play with their heart. When they go pro and start making millions, that changes everything. Enough said, lets get to some Buckeye news...
Please check out the 07-08 Recruits page, I have a bio on all new recruits for 2007, and I also have the commit list for 2008. You can watch video clips of all our new players by clicking on the small camera icon. As far as looking ahead to this season, I have been on Washington's website and they...

*** HUGE SITE ADDITION ***
March 22, 2007
I just added a page today called "Historyt of OSU Football". It gets down to the nitty-gritty. This is a good page for Buckeye fans who think they know all there is to know! Ever wondered how Buckeye helmet stickers started? Who wrote Carmen, Ohio? Find out the answer to these questions and more!

New site additions
March 22, 2007
I have added a few more pages. West Coast Offense is a simple breakdown and explanation of this type of offense. Many people have heard of the west coast offense, but not alot of people actually know what it is. Past Buckeyes Part 1 and 2 is a look back at some of the great players who have donned the Scarlet and Gray. Be sure to vote in my poll on the front page, and vote for this site by clicking the Ohio State logo at the bottom right of the front page! Thanks again!

Why?
February 19, 2007
I was watching the news this morning and I saw a report about 3 people and a labrador retriever trapped on Mt. Hood in Oregon around 8,000 feet (which is almost 2 miles above sea level). Maybe I have a different mind set because I was raised in the Midwest, but I have a question: Why do people engage in recreational activities in dangerous areas during dangerous times of the year? Thats like trying to learn to ride a surfboard during a tsunami. I just don't get it.

Site Updates
February 15, 2007
I've added a survey to the front page, be sure to cast your vote. I am still working on maybe using a public message board, althought right now you can make public comments on the Blog page. I thought about a chat room, but I don't think I'm getting enough traffic for that right now. I'm also in the process of making a "real" OSU Links page with a more complete list of website. I'll keep everyone updated.
The season is kind-of in that lull between the holidays and spring. The next few months will be establishing the new guys with the rest of the team, and this leading up to the annual Spring Game. Stay tuned for the latest team news as this season progresses.
